pro flex 2013 – International Symposium on Flexible Products in Dresden

On September 24th and 25th, 2013, experts from around the world will be meeting at the Fraunhofer FEP in Dresden to present and discuss new developments on manufacturing processes and coatings for flexible products.

Flexible products such as displays, light sources as well as solar cells, packaging or sun protection films are becoming increasingly popular on account of their low weight and their new functions.

The »pro flex 2013« symposium brings together international players from the production and use of flexible products. It deals with topics such as the latest developments in roll-to-roll manufacturing processes, new coatings and final applications. Since the first event in 2004, the »pro flex« has been held regularly every three years and has become an important meeting place for developers of flexible products from all over the world. Over the past years the symposium with over 100 participants from 15 countries has provided the framework for both international and at the same time personal exchanges as well as for presentations on current research topics. A lively and international participation is expected this year too. Participants from 12 different countries have already registered.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP in Dresden has been developing roll-to-roll coating processes to refine flexible materials for many years and, as the organizer of the »pro flex«, once again represents a balanced program with experts from renowned companies and institutes this year.

Participants can register up until 30 August. Early registration is recommended on account of the limited number of spaces.
